Some Background
Captain Knapp started sailing at the age of nine with his brothers and father on Barnegat bay in N.J. Although his father was a "power boater," he quickly became a common sight in the area of Cedar creek, just south of Toms River. Perch, Bluecrabs, and Clams were a big deal then. Captain Jeff could "just about" sell all he could round up when he put his mind to it.

His first real vocation was electrical construction at Mercer County VO-TECH. After High school he joined the Navy for four years and was a communications electrician in Groton Ct. for two years, serving two years aboard the USS INDEPENDENCE.

After the Navy he worked as an electrician at Viking Yacht New Gretna N.J., electrical mechanic in Forked River, and Atlantic City, N.J.

In 1990, he went to the Fla. Keys to "have a look around", and soon started fishing on several offshore boats. He soon made the Keys his home and planned his "next vocation." "Tarpon fishing"... Capt. Jeff says, .. is best because you don't have far to go to find incredible action! Bonus fish include BIG Snappers, Snook, Sharks, and even Cobia. If it swims from the Gulf to the ocean and back, it comes through the bridges! Any questions you have about the fishing Capt. Jeff offers can be answered by calling him at (305) 289-7732.
